My Journey to Naturopathy
I grew up on a family farm where we lived off the land, eating meat and vegetables grown in soil we now know, was drenched in DDT. My family paid a heavy price for that environment: I lost my father to cancer at just 46 years of age after a decade of spraying glyphosate everywhere, and later, my mother to complications from diabetes.
For much of my life, I fought my own battles with unexplained health issues, chronic gut problems, depression, and weight gain. My path was far from a straight lineāit took four different careers and a lifetime of searching before I found my true calling. Driven by a naturally curious mind, I earned a BSc in Physics and have completed qualifications in sustainability, building design, landscape design, and permaculture. I also worked as a child care cook while completing my Naturopathy degree, which gave me firsthand insight into feeding young children.
My Approach & Philosophy
- I am a neurodiverse practitioner and an avid whole-food cook who has always wanted to leave the world a little better than I found it. I healed a lifetime of chronic gut issues and depression through eating a Paleo diet, which lead me to completing a Naturopathic Degree. A lived experience that deeply informs how I practice today.
- No-Nonsense Care: I don't push armfuls of supplements. I focus on foundational, root-cause health based on what we put in and on our bodies.
- Essential Nutrition: I believe humans require meat to truly thrive, and I specialize in leveraging low-carbohydrate, Keto and Carnivore strategies to restore metabolic health.
- Reversible Health Issues: So-called "lifestyle" conditions like cardiovascular disease and diabetes are preventable and, when caught early enough, reversible.
